Our high strength micro-alloy steel bars are less brittle, more durable, and according to testing performed by the Transportation Technology Center, Inc. are far less susceptible to the types of residual stress that can cause joints or rails to fail.
Utilizing high-tech CNC milling virtually eliminates the stress fracture heat defect associated with hot punching holes in steel which, according to an FRA Class 1 track survey was responsible for the majority of bolt hole cracking and other defects that can cause rails to separate. Our process keeps trains rolling by reducing the need for time-consuming costly repairs.
